I'm Will Cullen. I build rigorously engineered systems with AI, from Melbourne, Australia.

I grew up across various parts of Australia, did high school in Tasmania, then made my way to Melbourne for university. From an early age, I was obsessed with hacking, digital privacy, and gaming—basically anything that let me peek behind the curtain of how things worked.

At uni, I studied maths and computer science, which gave me the tools to build formal models of complex systems—from mathematical proofs to economic reasoning about software delivery. I started doing freelance web development on the side, which eventually led to my first software engineering role at Luxury Escapes.

Over the past four years, I've moved quickly from junior to senior engineer, working across product, platform, and growth teams. What drives me is deriving engineering practices from economic first principles—understanding why certain approaches reduce cost of change, accelerate feedback loops, and compound delivery velocity over time.

These days, I'm a Senior Software Engineer at Qwilr. My mathematical background lets me go beyond prescriptive advice to build formal models that explain why TDD, Continuous Delivery, and DORA-backed metrics actually work. I also co-founded YouQ, an AI-powered learning platform that puts this approach into practice—rigorously engineered AI helping people learn faster.
